Pricing

All prices displayed are in Australian dollars (AUD) and are inclusive of Good and Services Tax (GST). We try to make sure that the prices and specifications appearing on the website are current; however, if mistakes occur we reserve the right to correct them after verification: all information is subject to change without notice. In all cases, we will confirm your order and pricing before shipping. For customers with both international billing and delivery details, the GST, when applied to certain products, will be deducted at the end of your shopping cart processing. Import duties may apply with some items to international destinations and will be payable by the receiver.

Lead time

Please check the “Lead Time” information appearing on the page of the items you have ordered. “Lead Time” indicates how long until we dispatch the items to you. We will not be liable for any claim arising from failure to deliver or for delay in delivery occasioned by unavailability of materials, strikes, accidents or any cause or event beyond the reasonable control of the company.

Shipping

ErgoFurniture utilizes a national network of freight carriers to deliver the goods: we ship all over Australia.

Prices are based on delivery to ground floor metro area only. Delivery to multi-storey locations may incur additional cost. The placement of goods and/or de-bagging of chairs is not included and is available upon request at additional cost. Site must be clear and free from obstruction and unrestricted lift facilities, if required, must be available at no charge.

All of our shipping within Australia is fully covered by transit insurance up to a maximum of $20,000 per shipment. For shipments over $20,000 in value, additional insurance can be arranged.

In line with standard freight industry procedures, the shipping fee is calculated on the consignment total (“dead”) weight or the “cubic weight”, whichever is the greater, to the given destination.

We endeavour to dispatch the products you purchase as quickly as possible. However as we are dependent on suppliers, it may require more time on certain occasions. If a delay does occur, we will advise you by mail or phone.

The standard delivery times are as follows:

  • Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra within 2 business days
  • Perth within 5 business days
  • Regional areas of NSW, VIC, SA, QLD within 4 business days
  • Tasmania within 6 business days
  • Western Australia within 8 business days
  • Northern Territory within 7 business days

We offer a pick-up service to customers that wish to do so. Customers will be notified when their goods are ready and will be able to come Monday to Friday | 9am – 5pm to our showroom at the following address:

Payment

  • Credit card: the easiest and most convenient way to purchase online. Just fill in your details and we'll bill the purchase to your account. We accept Visa and MasterCard. Our online payment system is highly secure as all transactions and your credit card details are encrypted.
  • Where lead time is seven days or less, we will process your payment immediately and organize delivery to you.
  • Where lead time is more than seven days, we will advise you of the estimated delivery date, and only bill immediately prior to dispatch.

Out of stock

We may occasionally be out of stock of the product you ordered. In this case, we will contact you without delay and discuss the options.

Returns

If you are not satisfied with an item that you have purchased, you may return the item within 30 days of delivery for a full refund of the purchase price, less freight charges. The item must be returned in “like new” condition, with all paperwork, packaging, parts and accessories to ensure full credit. Custom made or configured products are NOT RETURNABLE. Please note that the following steps and policy criteria below apply to ALL RETURNS, including defective items and those that may have been damaged during shipping.

STEP 1. Please make sure your return meets the following:

  • Product is in new condition
  • Product is in its original packaging
  • Product was delivered in the last 30 days.

Step 2. Guidelines for returns:

  • Pack the item securely. Please wrap the product so it does not get damaged in shipment. All returned products must be in the same condition in which they were received.

  • Please consider sending registered mail or Express Post Bag for your return package.
  • Original shipping costs are non refundable.
  • Shipping cost for returns is at the customer’s expense.
  • After inspection to ensure the product is returned in original and working condition, refunds or credits are issued within 7 days of product receipt.
  • Refunds will not be issued for products that are soiled, damaged, missing parts or returned outside 30 days of delivery.
  • If your order has shipped, or is in the process of being shipped, we will be unable to cancel your order. You will need to follow the return instructions once you receive the package.
  • Please notify us about damaged merchandise within 24 hours of receipt, and make sure you keep all the original boxes and packaging.
  • If returns are sent without original packaging, we will deduct a 25% restocking fee from your credit.

Warranty

Unless specified, a manufacturer’s warranty ranging from one year to 10 years will apply on all products. Should the goods prove to be defective within this period, ErgoFurniture will, at its discretion and provided that the damage is not due to use or misuse of the goods or from fair wear and tear, replace or repair defective goods free of charge. The goods must be returned to us at the address above and proof of purchase must also be provided.

Finishes

On receipt of your order, ErgoFurniture may require final details of finishes required. A delay in providing information to us may affect final lead time. Variation in fabric die lots, timber grain, shade and/or colour of goods supplied, particularly where surfaces are veneered with natural timbers, shall not be regarded as a fault and no claims will be entertained in respect of it.
