Designed for comfort with the good posture principles of the Alexander Technique, the Louisa chair features a firm seat that stimulates the body’s natural upright response to gravity. The seat pan mould encourages a neutral position for the pelvis, allowing sustainable weight bearing through the sitting bones.
The back rest mould assists in stabilising the pelvis, as well as providing support to the lumbar and thoracic spine. By supporting the large bones of the pelvis and sacrum, less effort is required to maintain good posture in sitting.
The adjustable seat tilt range encourages weight to be shared between the feet and the pelvis, and also orients the sitter towards the work surface. This conserves energy and reduces strain.
